Temporary – Explore!

Manpower partners with clients that are looking for contracted employees that are open to working short term contract durations. This falls under our temporary category. Typically, clients utilize this option to cover employee absences, support peak workloads or contribute to special projects for a specific time frame. As a temporary worker you are employed through Manpower and placed on assignment at our client’s worksite. When one assignment is done, you move to another, which could be at the same or a different client.

 

This is a great option to:

Temp to Perm – Try it and Decide!

As a temp to perm employee, both you and our client can test out the role and responsibilities to see if it’s a match. With your ability to see firsthand on what the job entails, resources, and access to the people you would be working with, this is a great way to understand if a role is for you! After working as a Manpower associate through the agreed timeframe and the client agrees there is a match, there will be an opportunity to become a permanent employee with our client working for them directly.

Permanent – Straight to the Client!

Don’t want to do contract work? No problem! Manpower also offers permanent opportunities! A permanent opportunity is direct employment with our client, meaning you will not be a Manpower employee but an employee of the client you are selected for. Manpower conducts the prequalification processes as well as interviews. If everything goes well and you are selected, an offer to work for the client as an employee directly will be extended.

Creating a profile with Manpower offers you the ability to apply for jobs quickly with your stored profile information and keep up with the status of your application. What is the job placement process like?

When there is a fit between your skills and interests and a job opening, we'll invite you to go through specific screening steps, including a thorough interview. This information helps us better match you to companies that seek your skills and background and opportunities that fit your career goals. Once we find an assignment for you, we'll make certain you're thoroughly prepared for on-the-job success.

Does Manpower continue to support me after I start a job?

Yes. As a Manpower associate we are committed to helping you succeed. While your supervisor at the work site is your resource for daily work-related questions, Manpower is your employer and is available to support you if you have any questions or concerns that are HR related. If you've been hired for a permanent position through Manpower, we'll support you for 90 days while you transition into your job with your new employer. After that, you should speak with your direct supervisor if you have any questions or concerns.

What do I need to do after I submit my resume or apply for a job?

Manpower's highest priority is to find a job for you. If your skills are a match for our client's job needs, a Manpower representative will contact you about next steps. In the meantime, you can continue to search the latest job openings by using the search bar at the top of this page. If there's any update on your experience, contact information, job seeking intention, etc., please update your profile so we'll have the most current information and can place you on the most suitable assignments.

What do I do when I finish an assignment?

Your Manpower representative will be aware of your status and will continuously work to place you on new assignments. Please let us know if there is any change in your availability, and remember to update your profile to include your recent job experience and any new skills you've gained. Be sure to continue to seek out new opportunities by using the job search tool at the top of the page.
